Well, now the time has come that any new iteration even new power trains in the said two cars aren't going to gather any attention. Apologies Fiat but you are going to end up closing your shop if you don't:
1) Increase your sales and service network
2) Introduce new and better products
3) The products in point no. 2 need to suit the market demand and too.

Fiat India will not bring the Punto replacement and is not interested in the lower segment. That is their Global stand.

In India they will concentrate on the Jeep brand with its UV line up. The B segment SUV rivaling the Duster / Creta will be the lowest segment that they will compete.

Well, it's not just about Punto and linea. Neither they have updated their products as per market demand, nor have they done anything to take care of their sales and service network.

Rest lets see if that 'SUV' gets to see the light of day even in coming 2-3 years or the time before Fiat India is forced to shut their shop due to mounting losses.

The MUV+SUV segment sold more than 2 million vehicles for the Apr16-Aug16 in India alone as per a report published in autopunditz. This pretty much how things are in global automotive industry as well. CSUV segment is here to stay and grow. Given the fact that it is still in nascent stage in India. So I do not see any reason why Fiat would not want to take advantage of this given that Jeep will be heavily localised and the B-CUV from Jeep is in advance stages of testing. I think Fiat stands to gain from Jeep brand rather with Fiat Brand. Fiat Brand is more or less done, atleast in India.
