Maruti Suzuki will give Ciaz a facelift in early 2017 to be inline with the competition in the C segment.

The already feature loaded Ciaz will get the Sunroof and Cruise control as added features to the list.
The new Ciaz facelift will also get some cosmetic changes and features upgrade. It is expected to get slightly revised front fascia and rear profile. The cabin is also likely to get subtle changes to keep things fresh in the market.
With the market shifting to Petrol, the biggest change will be on the Mechanical in the Petrol Variant . Ciaz will be getting the New Petrol engine M15A that is likely to deliver > 100hp and a torque of ~ 133NM.
It will also get the 6 speed AT in the petrol variant.
The Diesel engine and variants will be the same as the current model.

Friends,

Spotted this Silver CIAZ with different rear emblem placement at Nexa in Delhi in evening today. Also followed it for some time. The MSIL badge was not there and SHVS emblem shifted to upper corner of the boot. The Nexa guy told me that they'll be getting this car very soon so I am guessing that it would reach NEXA in a week or so. He also hinted that there might be some changes in it.

Came to know few things from SA :-

1. Maruti is going to stop Ciaz manufacturing because its shifting to Nexa. Don't know why, maybe to be manufactured in different plant.

2. Maruti Dealership is offering minimum 30k discounts, you can buy now and it will be the same vehicle that will go to Nexa, no changes. So it's better to buy now.

I am planning to buy zdi+ but in dilemma that buy before 31st march as it will be shift from 2nd April or should I wait for nexa car?
I don't think MSIL will transfer the same car to Nexa without any changes. Please help me guys. whats your opinion?

In Nexa you won't be able to avail discounts plus I am expecting some hike too.
So better to buy now than later as you will be getting same vehicle later too.

One of my colleague bought Ciaz VXi+ 2 weeks back from regular MSIL dealer and he received car with new rear badges. No more Maruti logo or variant name. Exactly as shown in above picture. So, I believe the Nexa Ciaz will be same car as now.

This is my confusion so trying to get the details because I have also seen the car with new rear badges and there is no changes in the car interior as well exterior but yesterday Nexa people had informed me that they are expecting some changes in new car.

Whats the point if they arent gonna give diesel AT and 1.6 MJD option or even the 1.6 VVT
1.6 MJD with a good torque converter or CVT would have given DSG diesels solid competition
1.3 isnt a slouch especially given the low price but hey variety is always welcome

Looks quite good in Blue color. Can't understand why will anyone go for City D now considering the huge price gap.

As a thorough Honda fan , I totally agree
1.3 MJD is a far more refined engine than 1.5 IDTEC

If petrol, City is best budget aside
If diesel, Ciaz is best, both on pocket and refinement etc

Ciaz 1.4 petrol is no slouch but its not as fun to drive in city limits as the 1.3 MJD

If they gave the 1.6 MJD on the Ciaz, itd shake up the segment totally especially since Ciaz is priced much lower than City, Vento etc right now. So 1.6 Ciaz can have pricing and performance advantage
Also Maruti Diesels generally have heavier steerings, so thats an added bonus for those who prefer it

I personally cant choose between my City steering and Ritz diesel's (now sold) hydraulic steering
I like both
