Chattisgarh: 12+ Year Old Buses & 10+ Year Old Trucks & Autos To Be Banned!

Raipur: In a crucial step towards environment conservation, Chhattisgarh will impose a ban on buses that are more than 12-year-old, trucks and auto-rickshaws older than 10 years including, those coming from other states.

"Buses older than 12 years, trucks and auto-rickshaws older than 10 years shouldn't be given permits from now on and the owners will be given a time limit of one year to buy new vehicles for registration. Vehicles coming from others states that are more than eight years old would also be facing ban. E-rickshaws will be promoted with financial assistance," said Singh.

Here in Raipur, I found the old trucks are being used for local trips and stranded in the roads, crating jam. Looking for good traffic sense among the Raipurians & better environment.
