Datsun is planning to introduce their first introduced hatchback in the country with new heavliy localized 1.0 litre petrol engine, which is supposed to power the soon to be launched 1.0litre Kwid.
Since this engine is expected to deliver the peak power figure of around 65PS which is just a notch below from existing 67PS, 1.2 litre engine, so the power difference won't be much but gains will be immense as like Better fuel efficiency, even more lighter weight & cheaper spare parts costs with better parts availability, as current 1.2 litre one still uses many Imported components.
Expect this 1.0 litre engined variant of GO to be priced even lower or I wish these price benefits should be utilized to equip it better with much needed changes like Closed Glovebox, better Music system, Retractable rear seatbelts. Airbag could be provided as an option.
