There a jump in numbers for Tata Bolt (MoM), is it due to Yellow Board sales ?

Tiago seems to be holding well compared to other Tata products.

7 out of the top ten cars sold are from Maruti Suzuki. A commendable feat from a Manufacture who not only continues to strive in retaining its leadership position but also increasing its market share.

The most awaited thread is now live and how!!
No surprises this month but the Innova; despite ebing banned in NCR and Kerela; still such a number for a car that costs between 16-25 lac OTR. It says something about the strength of Innova brand.

Additionally I always feel saddened to see the numbers of Figo, Aspire and Storme; all three of these deserved at least 3-4 times a month that they did in May 2016.

Double digit increase in percent sales For Beat, Linea and Jazz are surprising. Without any add on or marketing not sure how this is achieved? Same case is for Scala. Sales are up by 466% ????
Ecosport has started getting a hit with its new competitors in market. Ford needs to really think on this

MSIL, however much every other Auto Mfr tries to shake this giant, Indians just love their Maruti's.

Forget the numbers being done by most of their models from Alto to Ciaz, even the obnoxious OMNI does 6-7k month on month.

One slight facelift and the Alto numbers are back. God, this country loves Maruti!
Kwid, which was doing great and truly giving the Alto a competition sees a decline(in spite of having great numbers).

It doesnt require much effort to sell 34 Scalas compared to 6 Scalas . It could be perhaps even a Taxi sale. the real achievement would be for volume sellers (3000+) to have quantum jumps M-o-M.

The main reason is VFM pricing, Dealer reach and Favorable Govt Policies.

Ciaz SHVS Diesel gets 15.5% discount from Central Govt and 7% Discount in Delhi Along with exemption from odd/even rule, for a car which is Hybrid in name only, what its emissions compared with Petrol and Diesel competitors, hardly anything. Can it run with the Diesel engine shut off No. Then how does it deserve such a huge advantage?

From my visits to Maruti Dealer, their VXI models generally have some informal discount or other going on. Which makes their products 10% cheaper than competitors- a deal clincher in many a case.

They know the requirements of the Indian customer more than any other manufacturer.

Maruti Suzuki with 50% market share. They have strong players like Baleno, Breeza for the Future. Ciaz is steady with 5K monthly average. Old workhorses like Alto, WagonR, Swift, Dzire doing great numbers. All they need is a more powerful 1.5L DDiS to attract more customers.

Hyundai steady with Elite i20, Grand i10 and Creta.

Sorry for Ford with the Figo and Aspire numbers. Capable products which are fading away because of Ford's marketing and sales team. The question really is How long will Ecosport hold its position?

Chevrolet needs to rethink their product lineup. It will be a worry time for their dealers.

Tata is relying heavy on Tiago. Hope its gives some numbers. Bolt and Zest are into the taxi segment now and will do some numbers.

Renault, Kwid can be seen in sales chart and in roads. It will get better sales with the launch of 1L engine. Facelifted Duster with EasyR is not attracting more customers it seems.

Nissan relies on its lowcost Datsun with RediGo. Other than this nothing seems to be selling.

Skoda will find more takers for Rapid with the facelift this festive season.

VW Ameo will eat into the sales of Polo and Vento. With only petrol engine, it will fade away it seems.

Toyota is back on with Innova Crysta. Brand loyalty is what Toyota has earned. Old Innova customers getting new Crysta is a common scene.

Honda, everone's dream to own a Honda car once in a life time is slowly fading because of its recent products. BR-V with mobilio shell will end up like Mobilio. City losing its position to Ciaz is a bad sign.

Mahindra KUV is finding more homes. TUV has dented its tank image with the issues of AMT and the way Mahindra handled the customers. Other products are selling steadily.

Sales numbers for June'16 coming in are pretty interesting. Maruti Suzuki's Total sales dipped below 1 lakh units after many months of 6-figure sales numbers. Something like 14% Y-o-Y dip. Hyundai sold a little under 40,000 units, whereas Mahindra dispatched about 17,100 units. Next in line is probably Toyota with 13,500 units, followed by Tata Motors at 12,500 units. Renault is back with a strong number of about 11,800 units, followed by Ford with about 9,500 units.
