1) Honda continues its monthly Yo-Yo-ing! I wonder how the Honda executives view this from an overall production logistics perspective. So they ramped down the Jazz production by 76 % only to churn out 567 units of BR-V ?
2) Alto sales down to 16K. Clearly, Kwid is hitting where it hurts!.

3) Mahindra UV's beginning their usual slide from 3K to sub 2K numbers.
4)Creta numbers also down slightly. Perhaps the waiting periods and lack of VFM is forcing customers to re-evaluate ? My suspicion is , 3 months from now, Creta will come down to 4K units per month, no waiting, and BR-V will pull out some of the customers, especially those who want a good petrol UV.
5) Tiago off to a cautious but decent start. Hope they do upwards of 5-6K units per month from here on. Extremely vital for future of TML India passenger vehicles division.
6)It looks like Duster will continue to ply its 1.5-2K numbers per month as a rugged alternative to the urban UVs, aided by discounts in future.

As MSIL is launching new Alto 800, is that the reason for decrease in current Alto's numbers ?

Also, Nano seems to be selling well.

Hope Tiago at least keeps the number above 3K every month.

Swift Dzire era is over its just sold 13256 units in april 2016 it all time low. Sold almost 2000+ units lesser than swift and even wagon R. Baleno+Brezza+Facelift amaze+Diesel taxi ban in NCR impacted sales of dzire. MSIL may be scarifying dzire production for baleno because both manufactured in same plant. I hope it will settle down at 8000 to 10000 units per month. This is actual sales figure of dzire if no taxi sales, nothing great.

Ford : Its sales comes only from Ecosport
Honda : There is sudden drop in Jazz from 4 digits to 3 digits? Reduction in Jazz to fit BR-V in production line?
Hyundai :Doing good through its fleet apart from old gen i10
Mahindra : Decline in numbers for TUV300 & Nuvosport
Maruti : The crown of King is still with them. Their cars are selling like hot cakes.
Renault : Its just Kwid and if left then its Duster.
Skoda : i guess this is facelifted SuperB which is making its way on their stabilized sales chart
Tata : Good to see Nano and Tiago figures. Best of luck guys
Toyota : The company who has created Innova... thats it !!
VW : Month and month sales getting into Negative numbers
Chevrolet, Datsun, Nisaan & Fiat :- None of their models are working when it comes to sales

Chevrolet - All are in negative. No future cars lines up. Seems the best seller Beat is also coming down and I doubt if there would be any future for GM in India unless they come up with few smart moves

Ford endeavour denting the Fortuners margin significantly.

Suzuki - What a run they are having. Any vehicle launched is happily lapped up by indians. I wonder which other country including Japan are they having such a loyal customer base? Only 3 cars have numbers under 4K units per month.

Tata Tiago seems tobe hold promise but depends on the rate of delivery. Hope the numbers touch more than 6K next month.

Renault - Kwid is like Sachin Tendulkar of yesteryears indian cricket team.

Toyota, Delhi ban seems to be denting Toyota figures significantly.

OT: the only company that seems to be benefitted immensely by the Delhi diesel ban is Suzuki.

Looks like you forgot the Mahindra which is now having a virtual monopoly in the NCR market with their new 1.99l engines under the hood of Scorpio and XUV.
Well its not just because of the ban but they were quicker in getting the 1.99l engine to the market. That was aftereffect of the ban. My point was on the immidiate effect of the ban. For more than a month i guess Mahindra too suffered. Thier monopoly is well deserved for them.

A small request.

Can you please make the legend of the pie chart bigger. It is difficult to see the colour code.

It seems the labour strike at Sanand has effected TIAGO production significantly. The Feb month dispatch was 1096 cars that's equal to 2 cars per showroom which would suffice as display cars. Then 0 dispatches in March! Now 3000 odd cars in April which are factory dispatches , no wonder the waiting period has stretched to 2 months. I feel the May month numbers should be near the 9000 mark otherwise there will be a lot of disappointed customers of TML. My dealer here for a city with population of 12 lakh has 120 bookings and has been able to deliver just 30 vehicles till now. All of the 30 are petrol but the majority of the bookings are for diesel, since our region is predominantly diesel. Really TML has to up the production rate drastically for diesel now.
