Tata Motors has plans for a Honda City rival .

This Honda City rival will be based on a modular platform and it is still being considered for a launch.

Could launch in 2018-19.

That article says "Kite Hatchback will be launched early next year". I am not sure how much to believe on them, they don't even know that Kite Hatchback is "Tiago" aka Zica.

I really hope Tata is not trying to get ahead of itself. Let us see sustained sales of Tiago for an year or two, and then maybe.

TATA is getting too late in the competition in any segment. Although they are having good team and infrastructure they are not able to get hold in passenger segment.

The only car that succeeded is TATA VISTA for taxi purpose. While the other TATA cars are average or below average in sales. Even though the wide TATA ASS could not make any difference in the competition.
