With its two new all-terrain vehicles, Suzuki Motorcycles India intends to make a strong foothold in this growing market and pave the way for future launches in India. At the event, Suzuki Motorcycle India, Managing Director, Masayoshi Ito said, "With the goal of expanding our product line in India, we have decided to launch two of our popular ATV models in the market, hence showcasing our expertise across various categories."

Coming to the vehicles itself, the entry level Suzuki Ozark 250 model is apt for leisure activities and is quite suitable for beginners. At the same time, the more powerful Suzuki Quadsport Z400 is the sporty ATV for high-performance off-roading with sporty chassis, torque loaded performance.

In terms of specifications the Ozark 250 is powered by a 246 cc, 1 cylinder air-cooled, SOHC engine that comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. The front suspension is an independent, double wishbone, coil spring, oil damped unit, while the rear unit is a swingarm type, with coil spring. On the other hand the Quadsport Z400 is powered by a 398 cc 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, which comes paired to the same 5-speed transmission. Quadsport Z400 uses the same suspension system as the Ozark 250, while the breaking duties are taken care of by a twin discs at the front and single discs for the rear wheels.

This is a great launch from Suzuki. Off late, ATV's are getting some interest in the Indian market and good to see more "matured" manufacturers are stepping in.
Btw, are these now street legal? Can we register them with the Transport Authorities?

Suzuki is sure to gain interest from buyers. Polaris has done a great job in the market and its time for some competition. I don't think ATVs are street legal as yet.
