spoke a someone at a refinery once at 2 years ago
manufacture cost of 1 litre about R1
including transportation and whatever
and the crude we buy is not the brent crude we see on the news
dont ask how these things work
but the one we buy is about 40dollars a barrel
lets say R5 all inclusive
that means R9 is going to government
i guess we would be paying more tax on or vat if the price was not so high
we have a small price difference between inland prices and coastal prices
only a few cents difference
but all pricing government controlled

I believe, the prices have gone out of control, only after state govt started adding VAT to fuel.
The high Road taxes, VAT, Sales Tax, Service Tax, Cess etc which every state generates, its all going to the corrupt soul, nothing to the welfare of society, while the common man can only
thinking who can help us all from these selfless corrupts.
Various schemes are launched day in day out to woo the minorities and empower others, but at the end of the day, it turns out to be another route to a billion dollar scam.
This was all to come, and it is turning out quite nasty. Living for self and ignoring the society. Guess they are planning to take it to their graves, just like Mummies of Egypt with coffin filled with their wanted articles.
When will those in power have their morals back, and actually do justice to Society? N E V E R!
i feel your pain

We should see the cost of living in South Africa too, like how much is per month rent for a 2bhk flat, or how much a pair of Levi's Jeans cost in SA. Best would be to see how much a same spec car model cost in SA as compared to that in India, then we can compare the cost of fuel with India.
what can we compare with
levi's in a name store - R1000
loaf of bread - R12
milk 2l - R17
rice 10kg - R80
tata indica - R100 000 cheapest
average 180 - 200 cc motorcyle bajaj - R18-24000
average japanese superbike 1000cc - R180 000
we are being nailed
and i assume we cannot do anything about it
or can we
