According to a report on Autocar Pro, Renault could consider entering the LCV space in India, though not immediately but in the near future. Further, the report states that the Renault Duster Oroch, a 0.5 tonne pickup based on the Duster which was unveiled at the Buenos Aires Motor Show in June this year, will be considered for India. According to the company, a product such as the Duster Oroch, with its better total cost of ownership, will prove to be viable in India as the market matures.
The Duster Oroch is expected to start arriving at South American dealerships in the coming weeks. It will be powered by 1.6- and 2.0-liter petrol engines, and will be available in 2WD and 4WD guises. Early reports point out to a load carrying capacity of 650 kg, with a volumetric capacity of 683 liters.

If it were to launch in India, the Duster Oroch will be manufactured at the Alliance plant in Chennai, which already makes the Duster with a high-degree of localization. Also, for the Indian market, the 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine will be the motor of choice.

@Manish12345 Indian market isnt eveolved to such a stage were pick up trucks will get over SUV's if it had TATA Xenon would have sold like hot cake. It would require another 5-6 years for us to come to a stage where pick up will be considered as lifestyle trucks. TATA XENON looks far more Macho than this however the interiors of Renault in the pic is much better than what we see on Xenon.

If Pick-up trucks are accepted by our indians then ford would launch F150, toyota hilux, dodge ram. Honestly i love F150 raptor have driven it in usa. It was awesome very powerful engine but it would cost 20+ lakhs in India. Who would buy a pick-up truck for 20 lakhs... if renault will launch this oroch people use it for commercial use like shifting goods. Then who will buy a duster which is on same platform!!

i dont think so that people will buy this pickup for commercial use because in commercial use we need bigger payloads like TATA 207 RX single cabs but this one is double cab with limited payload
