The Safari 400 will see a bump in power and will now come loaded with additional brownies. The 400 in the new Safari stands for 400Nm, which has been increased from 320NM.
Tata Safari 400 will produce 165bhp of power and 400Nm from 148bhp and 320Nm. This will sport a six-speed manual transmission instead of the five-speed manual. Expect a six-speed ZF automatic transmission too.
The Safari 400 will get a major revamp on the inside too. There will be a new Harman touchscreen system with an output form 10 speakers. The Safari 400 will also be offered with leather interiors and most likely even a smaller steering wheel too. The Safari will pick up a lot of features and parts from the Hexa, which is due to be launched this year. The Safari 400 will be a seven-seater and it is even likely to get cruise control. The Safari will get the new-generation Tata steering wheel, as we have seen on the 2015 Safari Storme.
The Safari 400 will become the flagship model for Tata Motors, sitting above the Hexa. The Safari 400 will get an upgrade on the outside too. It will sport a new front grille, which will resemble the other Tata cars, however this will have styling that is more on the rugged side. It will be offered with projector headlamps and even integrated day-time running LEDs. Tata Safari 400 – MotorOctane
