In a surprise move, after opposing the Quaricycle project two years back citing their doubts on the products perceived lower safety standards. But now things seem different for Tata's and have to enter this segment.
It will sport an all-new petrol engine.
Though approved for a roll out through a government notification dated February 19, 2014, quadricycles are yet to hit the roads because of a stay order from multiple high courts across the country.
However, the apex court of the country has stayed the Karnataka High Court order that stalled the introduction of quadricycle till the next date of hearing. The matter has been posted for further hearing on March 10.
