Mini Cooper S 3-Door Now Launched in India

After launching the 5 Door version of the Mini Cooper called as Cooper D, BMW 's sister brand Mini is now going to launch the 3 Door Version of the Mini in end of March-2015 in the Indian Market.

Mini will launch the Cooper S hatchback by the end of next month. The Cooper S will only be available in 3-door form and will be priced around the Rs 33 lakh mark, ex-showroom. The Cooper S will be costlier by less than 10 percent of the Cooper D 3-Door says a company official.

The Cooper S is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine developing 192PS of peak power at 4,700rpm and 300Nm of peak torque at as low as 1,250rpm.

BMW has launched the New Mini Cooper(S) 3 Door version with a petrol engine in the Indian market at Rs. 34.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

Powering this model is a new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, twinturbo petrol unit that is capable of churning out a maximum power output of 192bhp and a peak torque of 280Nm. Mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the Mini Cooper S touches 100kmph mark from stand still in only 6.7 seconds, with a top-speed of 233kmph. The Cooper S is claimed to return an impressive 18.2kmpl of mileage.

Friends, Any of my outings can never be complete until I click some good pics of the cars. Had visited Bird Automotive on way to Gurgaon Today. A Quick observation, the 2.0 L petrol engine is rev-happy. The new car has an awesome pick-up when I drove it.
