The facelifted Camry gets styling changes both outside and in – up front, the headlamps are re-styled with LED daytime running lamps and the grille is all-new with a band of chrome on top of it. There’s also a new protruding chin along with the re-designed bumper. These changes align the Camry’s styling with the carmaker's current generation models such as the new Corolla Altis.

At the rear, the boot lid gets mild styling tweaks and the tail-lamps get new LED inserts. The chrome strip on the boot lid is now thinner and divides the tail-lamp into two parts. The alloy wheel designs are also expected to be new on the updated car.
On the inside, the 2015 Toyota Camry has a sporty looking three-spoke multi-function steering wheel instead of the four-spoke unit in the current car. The instrument cluster has also been updated, with blue backlight and a larger 4.2-inch screen at the centre. The multimedia screen on the centre console is also bigger at 6.1 inches.
The updated Camry is not expected to get any changes under the skin and is likely to continue with the petrol and petrol-hybrid set-ups that are on offer currently

Re: Toyota Camry facelift - 2015

As of the Front, Extra Chrome on hood looks out of place. Chrome mustache on the front bumper looks even worse. Rest all looks good. My personal opinion!

This is what makes us [thumbsdown].What is toyota thinking? Why they don't plonk their popular D4D mills in their premium sedans?Price hike they think?IMO there will be takers for these sedans even with high price tag if available with diesel power trains(if not under powered like corrolla[:D]).

2015 Toyota Camry Facelift Spotted In India

Toyota CAMRY facelift spied in india. The launch is scheduled for next month.
Toyota-Camry-Facelift-India-Spotted.jpg
Unveiled at the Moscow International Motor Show in August last year, Toyota India has brought in the 2015 Camry facelift for the Indian market that was spotted by our reader Nikhil Gogna completely undisguised. Getting a host of aesthetic upgrades, the Camry facelift features a revised front fascia with the sleek new chrome grille that replaces the outgoing Lexus-like unit and is flanked by the slender looking headlights with projector headlamps. The redesigned large lower grille gets chrome bezels encompassing the foglights. Compared to the Russia-spec version, the grille gets marginally different elements while the bumper integrates LED DRLs and turn indicators.
The side profile remains unchanged on the new Toyota Camry facelift, whereas the rear gets an added chrome garnish on the boot-lid adding a premium touch to the extremely spacious sedan. On the inside, the facelift retains the overall layout from the outgoing version but gets a new 6.1-inch display screen, a new backlight on the instrument panel with a 4.2-inch TFT screen and a restyled multi-function steering wheel. While the international spec model gets wireless charging, automatic beams and heated seats, it still needs to be seen which of these features have made it to the Indian model. The quality as always will be top-notch inside the cabin.
The powerplant on the 2015 Toyota Camry facelift remains the same with the 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing around 181 PS and 233 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The changes will extend to the Camry Hybrid as well but with a host of blue accents on the logos and the ‘Hybrid Synergy Drive’ badge on the front fender and the boot-lid. Expect to see a marginal pricing revision on the Camry facelift as the model is ready to be launched next month in the country.

Re: 2015 Toyota Camry Facelift Spotted In India

Awesome scoop sirji, kudos to you! [clap] This Camry looks like a true modern Lexus and looks really premium. Though considering the current gen's looks, this looks more of an evolution than a straight facelift. Anyways, its just the need of a diesel heart which will push its sales up. If that is still not offered then Bye bye Camry [frustration].

Here you go more precise pics of the 2015 camry[;)]
Front bumper grill is too big, engine really requires so much vent? and headlights look like Honda Civic. Exterior design doesn't feel like luxury range then whats shown in first and forth post but interior is really awesome. [clap]

Toyota Camry hybrid to benefit from FAME-India scheme

The FAME-India scheme (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric vehicles in India), recently introduced by the Indian government, already seems to be helping hybrid and electric cars. With Mahindra being the first to take advantage of the scheme and slashing the prices of its EV — the e2o, it is now learnt that Toyota will be the first carmaker to benefit from SOPs directed towards hybrids.

The Japanese carmaker will be launching the new Camry hybrid today. Although prices are still awaited, Toyota has received relief of around Rs 70,000 on the price of the Camry. For buyers, this is great news, as the manufacturer has directed all of the benefits to prospective owners.

Under Phase I of the FAME scheme, the government has sanctioned Rs 795 crore spanning the fiscal years 2015-16 and 2016-17. Major incentives are as follows:
- Rs 13,000 to Rs 1,24,000 for sub-4-metre four-wheelers
- Rs 11,000 to Rs 1,38,000 for four-wheelers above 4-metres long
It may not seem like a great difference at the moment but the FAME-India scheme will offer the
backing required to give the industry, which is still in its nascent stage in India, the much-needed push.

Even though the the benefit applies to the Refreshed Camry, the prices have been bumped. The 2.5 AT was 26.6 lakhs and is now 28.9 lakhs while the Hybrid version is now 31.9 which was earlier 29.4 lakhs.

So ultimately, Customers dont get the benefit of the initiative from govt.
The India Assembled Camry is more expensive then the Imported Camry which was on sale in late 2005/06.

Official Press Release of 2015 Toyota Camry Launch Added.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor launches The All New Camry

A new kind of luxury ahead of its time

India's only locally manufactured hybrid - Camry Hybrid gets even better
India, globally the 9th country to manufacture Toyota hybrid

Pioneer in hybrid technology, Toyota has sold more than 7 million hybrid vehicles all over the globe

Camry Hybrid Priced at Rs.31.92 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Camry (Gasoline) Priced at Rs.28.80 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
April 30, 2015, Delhi: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today launched The All New Camry - Camry Hybrid and Camry Gasoline. The All New Camry comes with an unmatched offering of luxury. It has been designed to match the refined and ever evolving customers need for a luxury car. The All New Camry has an essentially new exterior that creates an even more innovative, prestige appearance appropriate for luxury sedan.

Camry Hybrid comes with Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) powertrain. Camry Hybrid's "full hybrid" powertrain combines the performance of a 2.5 litre Atkinson cycle four - cylinder gasoline engine and a high - torque electric motor.

The Camry Hybrid has a combined power (engine + motor) output of 205 PS coupled with leading - edge fuel economy of 19.16 kmpl* and 122.8 gm of CO2 emissions per km of driving, which is far lesser than the conventional vehicles of similar engine size. The Camry Hybrid comes with an Electronically Controlled Continuous Variable Transmission (E-CVT), which provides enhanced driving performance, with reduced fuel consumption and lower NVH.

The Camry Hybrid a full hybrid is a self charging vehicle, unlike an electric vehicle. When the vehicle decelerates or at the time of braking, the electric motor acts as a generator and converts the kinetic energy to electric energy in a process called regenerative braking. This energy is stored in Camry Hybrid's HV battery pack for later use when needed to power the vehicle.

Taking luxury to the next level the Camry Hybrid provides an advanced air conditioning system with three - zone control, a pollen filter and break through nanoeTM water coated ion technology. It provides moisturizing benefits to occupants' skin and hair and deodorises the cabin.

The Camry Hybrid and Gasoline also come with first in segment luxury features
-Power recline rear seat (8 degrees)

-Rear armrest with controls for power recline rear seats, power sunshade for rear windshield, audio system and air conditioning

-3 Zone Air conditioning facilitates individual temperature controls for the driver, front passenger and rear passenger, enabling perfect comfort for everyone

Pioneers of Hybrid, Toyota has a history of more than 15 years to its credit and over 7 million hybrid cars across the globe.

The gasoline Camry was first introduced in 2002, in India. In 2012, TKM began locally manufacturing the gasoline Camry. Toyota marked an important milestone in the history of the Indian Auto Industry in 2013, with the launch of India's first ever locally manufactured hybrid - Camry Hybrid. The launch of the New Camry Hybrid further reinforces Toyota's belief in adopting "alternative motoring" as an answer to overcome carbon emission woes, in India and across the globe.

The All New Camry is available in seven vibrant colours - Dark Brown Mica Metallic, Attitude Black, Grey Metallic, White Pearl Crystal Shine, True Blue Mica Metallic (exclusive for Hybrid), Silver Metallic and Greyish Blue Mica Metallic (exclusive for Gasoline).

The All New Camry Hybrid is priced at Rs.31.92 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

The All New Camry gasoline is priced at Rs.28.80 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

Speaking on the occasion of the launch Mr. Masato Katsumata, Chief Engineer, Camry , Toyota Motor Corporation said," Camry is our Luxury flagship model, with an unmatched offering of luxury, space and value made possible by Toyota's traditional strengths of quality, durability and reliability.

With each new model we are constantly striving to make Camry even better and so it is constantly evolving - along with the changing needs of our customers - in order to give them the best."

Speaking on the occasion of the launch Mr. Naomi Ishii, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said; "Camry a symbol of Toyota's prestige has been well received in India. We would like to thank the customers of Camry for its success in India. We have sold more than 8000 Camry since launch. Camry Hybrid, India's first ever locally manufactured Hybrid has also been well accepted. There is increased awareness and acceptance of Hybrid in the Indian market. Currently Camry hybrid constitutes 73% of total Camry sales.

Rising oil imports, road safety and increased pollution are some of the grave problems faced by India. Environment - friendly vehicles will go a long way to remedy this. Hybrid vehicles can truly have a positive impact only if they are widely used. It is our endeavor to constantly educate and encourage the use of hybrid vehicles in India.

We would like to thank the Government for initiating the FAME scheme, aimed to facilitate faster market creation and manufacturing eco system for environment friendly vehicles like hybrid. The recently notified demand incentives under FAME which stipulated upfront reduced purchase price at the time of purchase to buyers will give a boost to the demand and encourage faster adoption of these vehicles in India."

Camry Hybrid India's first ever locally manufactured Hybrid is the first hybrid to receive a demand incentive under the FAME scheme in India.
