While General Motors issued a voluntary recall for the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV citing issues with the 1.3-litre diesel engine, the American auto giant has also silently issued a recall exercise for several units of the Chevrolet Beat petrol manufactured before 31st July, 2010 over possible concerns of accumulation of electronic discharge in the nonconductive fuel pipe. While the company announced the recall for the Enjoy publicly, GM has silently reached out to customers via letters to bring in their cars for checks, we got the letter recently.GM has asked dealerships to get in touch with affected customers and schedule an appointment for inspecting the affected units of the Chevrolet Beat. At the time of inspection, if the service centre finds a potential problem with the vehicle, the same will be subjected to repairs or replacement of parts that will be done free of cost. The repairs are said to take couple of hours at the most, but could be delayed depending on the repair work and workshop traffic

Re: GM recalls Beat - unoffically

Beat petrol hatchbacks manufactured before July 31, 2010 could have accumulation of electronic discharge in the nonconductive fuel pipe.
The company has written letters to owners of the affected cars but has not called it a recall!
