Suzuki released 2015 JDM Alto for Japanese market. It will be powered by a 660cc Petrol engine matted to 5S Manual & a CVT Transmission.
Going by the pictures, the interior quality seems top notch, but the styling isn't pleasing.

The new Suzuki Alto kei car for the Japanese domestic market has been released following the leaks. The small car will go on sale in the country on December 22.

A 660 cc three-cylinder engine in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged configurations will be on offer. A 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic would be the transmission options. Both 2WD and 4WD versions are expected, and more details on the performance and fuel efficiency figures will be available on the day of launch.

The JDM Alto is not connected to the Alto sold in India.

Suzuki 2015 Alto JDM

The 2015 Suzuki Alto Kei car for the Japanese Domestic Market was recently revealed and will go on sale in Japan on December 22.
Suzuki has decided to adopt a retro look. The new city car gets chunky headlamps and old fashioned slits instead of a conventional front grille. At the rear, the car looks similar to VW's Up. The highlight here are the bumper mounted combination lamps.



On the inside, the retro design continues and the car gets a simplistic dashboard that should be high on functionality. The new city car offers adequate space for four passengers and as can be seen in the above image, it makes use of features such as a dashboard mounted gearshift to free up space. The speedo console comes with analogue dial and a multi-information display.
Powering this model is Suzuki’s 660cc three pot petrol engine that will be available both in normally aspirated and turbocharged versions. The engines will come mated to a five speed manual transmission that will send power to front or all four wheels, depending on the variant. A CVT option will be also provided to the buyers.
Suzuki has yet no plans of bringing this to India.

Suzuki has yet no plans of bringing this to India.

That's a great "".I wonder why Suzuki didn't brings such beautiful cars in India.They have many cute cars there in Japan..

Check this SUZUKI ALTO "LAPIN CHOCOLAT" which is in production there.



This one has a great potential to attract many female customers in india,if i'm right.

Kei cars are designed for seating capacity of 4 and max loading capacity 350kg, which will never be considered by Indian customers. We will dump a family of 6 inside the car, abuse the engine to extract more out of it, kill the mechanical parts and complain the manufacturer for selling a car that couldn't satisfy their needs (to be simple, call it failure)

that's real sad, i like the retro look of the Alto Chocolat. would be a wonderful feeling to run this on road with all eyes glued on you. Definitely a looker.

Maybe its done for better space and design aspect hasn't been given much important. See the Alto 800 for example. Looks bad still is the best seller in the country
