Reports indicate the company is contemplating on the automatic versions of Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatchback, which will bear the fruit within a period of next 10 months.
It is expected that Toyota will be plonking a 4-speed or 5-speed torque converter in both these models, and not a CVT or AMT which is seeing a rapid growth in budget segments.
If Toyota goes this way of equipping both the cars with a torque converter, expect a premium of Rs. 60,000 to 80,000 over their respective manual variants. Toyota to launch automatic Etios and Etios Liva in 2015 - Gaadi.com
