WoW Interesting Report.

The market share of Honda is more than Mahindra. What is Happening.
Maruti 46.21% Hyundai 15.01% Honda 8.05% Mahindra 7.54% Toyota 6.11% Tata 4.7%
Honda become number 3. It is definitely the product range. Right product at right time.

How come Pajero Sports sale is zero in June & July 2014? May be they considering Pajero Sports Anniversary Edition an another car.
My friend bought one Pajero Sports during July, from their Kottayam Showroom.
Some discrepancy.

I am amazed of Honda market share. They are doing real business. Wait and see the response of Honda JAZZ.

HM-Mitsubishi July 2014 Indian Car Sales Figures

image

The Mitsubishi story in India is a real tragedy. If only they had given up on their collaboration with HM and went on their own. I don't think HM was ever serious about the Mitsubishi brand, except for a brief period when Lancer ruled our roads.

In my native Kerala, I still see many modded Lancers vrooming on the streets, a sign of the good ol' times.

Maruti and Hyundai have one thing in common-almost all there products sell >1500-2000 per month-barring a few high end models
The rest have 1-2 that sell high numbers ~4000 and up while the rest of their models seem to be in cold storage.
What would the Zest do-even if it sold ~7000 a month (after the initial hype part of sales) TML would be in at ~15,000 per month (assuming sales of the current Indigo CS and Manza decline by ~2000). This would still leave them 3-4th in the pecking order. So getting back to number 2 would mean many "hit" models or atleast steady earners! That situation may be a year or perhaps more away?

Ertiga sales was not affected by Mobilio. It seems Mobilio has eaten the share of Amaze!!!
It will be clear in next two months.
