320 Nm is not required IMO
for such small 5 seater cars. And over years it is proven that it's territory and reasonable for seven seaters SUVs like. Scorpio, Safari & XUV.
So despite, entry of Creta/ Scross, sales Duster & Terrano would remain untouched, and these (Scross & creta) will be purchased only by people who hate. exterior looks of Duster & Terrano. In given situation, in interiors, there is nothing to hate in the case of Duster & Terrano because. there is nothing to love in the interiors of Scross /Creta. This class of buyers (haters of Duster & Terrano looks) existed before entry of Scross /Creta, and this class. (if budget conscious) was going for sedans with little lesser price tag or Scorpio /Safari.
Happened to check the Scross at mall, and felt that ddis 200 would eat in to i20 Elite /active sales, and most of them would be Maruti loyalists who were earlier getting diverted towards Hyundai. And ddis 320, would get some buyers who were sitting on the fence since long because they thought Duster /Terrano was over priced & also didn't liked the looks.
Posting some pics.
From outside, no wow factor, looked like Celerio on steroids.
I felt inner side of the door was equally boring and marginally better than creta
I could not believe that it was an alloy wheel. It is looking like a down market wheel cover of 20th century.
Interiors & dash reminded me of 2007 Linea.
Of late, dunno why? I am seeing this start /stop button on few cars, I remember my childhood days, one of my neighbour was owning a TATA truck and it had this feature
Things which I liked were,
1)Built quality :Sturdiest from MSIL stable, reminded me of. TATA Indigo, and MSIL should price the car like TATA s so that they sell it more.
3)Leather quality of the seat cover & door inserts
4)Reclining rear seats ( though limited to less than 30 °)
5)Ingress & egress.
