Mahindra Starts Testing XUV500 Codenamed W216

Mahindra has once again commenced testing the XUV500 albeit with a new codename that could possibly sport a different powertrain under the hood; however, not for the Indian market. While the XUV500 originally received the codename W201, the model spotted testing carried a new codename ‘W216. - which market this is intended is not known yet - could be the Japanese market!

yup. last heard they had sourced an AT box from far east. also it was said that the power output for the AT version of XUV has been bumped up to 170bhp.
