Salient Features:-
An
intelligent 4x4, it doesn't just look the part of a thoroughbred off-roader, it backs it up with performance as well.
Turbocharged Direct Injection with Common Rail (TDI CR) diesel engine

Power 103kW@4200, Torque 320nm@1750-2500, Engine 2.0 TDi CR 4x4, FE 17.67 kmpl, Manual Transmission 6 speed
Bi-Xenon headlights dynamic levelling
The LEDs, used as daytime running lights, also combine with the Bi-Xenon Curve Projector headlights to create a striking presence for the new Yeti. Increased light output and natural white colour of Xenon light (for low and high beam) causes less fatigue in low light conditions.
Six airbags
The SKODA Yeti comes with six airbags. In addition to the
front airbags, it includes
curtain airbags at both the front and the rear, and
side airbags at the front.
Corner function with front fog lights
The cornering function uses the front fog lights to automatically illuminate the area in the direction the car is turning towards. It provides better illumination for curves with a small radius, adjacent pedestrian crossings and parking spaces.
Electronic Differential Lock (EDL)
The Electronic Differential Lock is best appreciated on a road with different surfaces on either side, for example dry tarmac on one side and ice, snow or water on the other. This system works together with the ABS sensors of the car.
The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) continually receives data from ABS wheel speed sensors on the driven wheels. If the ECU detects that one wheel is slipping, it applies brake pressure to match its speed to the second, non-slipping wheel. It also directs torque to the wheel with better traction.
The advantages of EDL are most obvious during acceleration or driving uphill with low traction under one of the driven wheels.
Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR)
Excessive wheelspin during acceleration is a waste of energy without any benefits. It increases the wear and tear of the drivetrain and tyres on dry tarmac, while on wet surfaces it wastes fuel. To prevent this, Anti-Slip Regulation automatically modulates the wheelspin during acceleration. Its goal is to ensure that the driver has full control over the vehicle and provide efficient transfer of power to the road. This improves both handling and fuel economy.
Parktronic - front and rear park distance control
Parktronic sensors probe the space around the front and rear of the car to determine the presence of obstacles and accordingly generate an audio warning signal which helps the driver with better judgement. The Parktronic display on the central infotainment system shows the distance and direction of obstacles on a large colour screen.
Off-road Assistant with Hill Descent Control
The Off-road Assistance package comprises of Hill Descent Control (HDC), Drive-Off Assistance and Off-road Traction control. Hill Descent Control maintains a constant speed while driving downhill by automatically braking the wheels as required. Thus, the driver is free to focus fully on steering the vehicle.
Traction Control System (TCS)
When you're roughing it out in the wild, grip is everything and the SKODA Yeti comes equipped with a highly specialised Traction Control System (TCS) that manages just that. If your Yeti runs into muddy terrain it's possible that one or more of your wheels may lose grip and start to spin freely. The Traction Control System automatically detects this wheel spin, and applies brakes to individual wheels, while at the same time transferring more power to the wheels with better grip. This helps the Yeti navigate out of slippery terrains with ease. It also helps reduce fuel wastage as power is directed to the wheels which have better grip.
Tyre pressure monitoring (TPM)
Tyre pressure monitoring continuously monitors the air pressure in each tyre and prevents critical situations by providing timely warning of sudden air pressure loss in any of the tyres.
More safety features
The
Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) keeps the wheels from locking during emergency braking or when braking on slippery surfaces.
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) automatically adjusts the amount of brake pressure to the front and rear wheels, resulting in smoother braking and an improved driving experience.
Hill Hold Control (HHC) prevents the Yeti from rolling backwards when pulling away on an uphill slope.
The
Electronic Stability System (ESC) assists the driver in handling critical situations and helps recover the car from a potential skid situation.
Automatically dimming external and interior rear view mirrors improve vision by automatically dimming to reduce glare in the driver's eyes.
Luggage space
SKODA Yeti comes with 416 litres of boot capacity in its classic five-seater configuration, which can be expanded to a class-leading 1,665 litres with the rear seats removed. Additional front and rear door bottle holders – cleverly integrated into the map pockets for easy accessibility.
