Yet another India's first, Ford has unveiled the Figo Compact Sedan Concept this noon in New Delhi. Present at the occasion was Ford India’s new President, Nigel Harris, Vinay Piparsania (Executive Director, Marketing), Kumar Galhotra (VP, Engineering) and Ehab Kaoud (Chief Designer, North America). Since it was an unveiling event, no specific information regarding the production model was revealed. Personally speaking, I also found the event to be less grand in comparison to what we witnessed in case of EcoSport and former all-new products. New Ford Figo Sedan Concept:
> This car is inline with Ford’s vision for an all-new global compact car for India and emerging markets.
> Sub-four meter length will ensure a competitive pricing while offering a host of innovative features.
> Ford expects compact car sales in India to grow from ~1 million units in 2013 to ~2 million units in 2018.
> Ford aims to bring unexpected level of refinement in this segment, using elements from high-end cars.
> The car will be equipped with a dedicate space to hold and charge your gadgets such as mobile phones. Misc Pointers From Event:
