Thanks for sharing this info, 350Z. Ofcourse remember Premier Padminis. There are whole lot of these taxis from PAL here in Mumbai [:)].

I must say the mini SUV looks good.

Lol, friendly 'Doshi' boys of PAL, credited for killing 2nd official entry of 'FIAT' & 1st of 'Peugeot', into India, both badly burned by associating themselves with PAL, chinese guys fit the PAL boys to a 'T'!!! Mr. Qadros must be a happy camper right now.....

Yes, saw this news in magazine.

But this car is really under powered & it has got any looks for an mini SUV.

This will make PAL into losses again!!

things to be noted is-

1) who will play 5 lakhs for a PAL when you can buy a hyundai, maruti, etc.
2) are there enough service centres? how is the service?
3) who would buy a boring/antique 65 bhp peugot TUD5 engine in this era of common rails?
4) will anyone buy a "chinese" product? cmon, we dont even buy chinese phones!

So very true, with all the points. I bet nobody in his right mind is going to be queuing outside PAL showrooms to pick up this one.

From what I saw in the images, The interiors does look plasticy!
They are quite dark and cheap looking and does not seems to be up to the mark.

However, If I say about the exteriors, The design isn't bad at all.
The spare wheel on rear door is giving it a Mini SUVish looks.

But again, As raj mentioned, Who will buy and trust on a Chineese Product?
PAL, Wrong move again. You could have done much better alone or better join hands with any Indian carmaker!

Chinese Maal

PAL made a wrong move pairing with a Chinese Car company.
What about A.S.S or is it just like other Chinese products "Use and Throw"[lol!]

PAL recently made some chineese minivan to rival Omni-Versa, and flopped. Then made some Roadstar pickup on the same thing to rival Tata Ace and flopped [but PAL claims it is success]. Now what are they expecting by making a jacked up hatchback [mini-SUV [;)] with old TUD-5 [used in old Zen D] where it will be pitted against Suzuki Swift and all [by price and size]??

Never heard of the minivan and the Roadstar and I can imagine the other aam janta(s) not having heard of these too. I simply don't understand where the money comes in for these (mis)adventures.
