Tata Motors launches websites for Tata Zest and Tata Bolt
Tata Motors has begun building up for the Tata Zest and the Tata Bolt simultaneously, launching websites for both the cars. The websites reveal no stone unturned when it comes to explaining the details of both the sedan and the hatchback.
Both models were unveiled prior to last month’s Auto Expo 2014 and were also shown in some customized versions during the Auto Expo.
Both the Zest and the Bolt will get the newly developed 1.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Revotron motor. It will produce 85 PS @ 5,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque between 1,750-3,000 rpm on the Zest. The diesel engine will be the 1.3-liter Quadrajet motor outputting 90 PS @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque between 1,750-3,000 rpm on the Zest.
The Zest will take on the recently launched Hyundai Xcent in the compact sedan segment, amongst other competitors like the Honda Amaze and the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
The Tata Bolt, on the other hand, will also get the same 1.2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder Revotron engine. While the performance figures for the petrol engine remain the same, the 1.3-liter diesel engine will make 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque for the hatchback.
