| Though, The specifications are not any exciting indeed but, it appears that Toyota has not specifically launched this model to please the enthusiasts, rather for a buyer with average requirements from a sedan, which would eventually make Altis a widespread model, and it is more or less the Fuel Efficiency figures which a typical diesel car buyer desires for and Toyota has quite successfully achieved them. That said, The Corolla should be ready to wear more yellow number plates because this news is also a feast for Private Taxi-operators.

| It can actually be bad news for some operators, who have large fleets of petrol corollas. New agencies with diesel corollas will charge lesser. |

| Great pricing and i said before the car must feel under-powered! Not a car for enthusiasts but for people who prefer luxurious efficient diesel sedan! I like the new grille!
This car can pull prospective Civic , Laura and Cruze buyers! Civic can be worst affected but there are people who still prefer Petrol over diesel , so Civic will most probably survive! And people will prefer Altis if they feel they don need that much power on offer from the Cruze and for people who look at FE! |

| Except for the price, Skoda Laura and Volkswagen Jetta still lead the league by offering fantastic quality and a good and efficient diesel engine.

| How does the Altis compares with Cruze in pricing? I think Cruze would be a better pick, except for mileage. |
