Great compilation Sam. Maruti Suzuki seems to be having a good last month with some good numbers done by Swift , Dzire and Wagon R in particular. Rest only the new launches like the Grand i10, Honda Amaze and Ford Ecosport seem to be doing good in these dismal times for the auto industry. Scorpio numbers never fail to surprise me. Rightly said, the butch looks sells and how. Only if reliability was not an issue with the Tata's, we could have had seen some good number of spanking new Safari's & Storme's hitting the roads too. Sadly, not the case. Don't know if the management at Tata is happy enough selling 850 units of the SUV when other in the price bracket are easily doing 3-4 times more.
Jetta seems to have taken quite a dip with just 49 units shipped in September. Its a brilliant product overall, but surely needs a little price correction. Elantra on the other hand seems to be doing great in the segment, just being the most VFM
offering. More car for your money as they say. Would be waiting to see Octavia's number in this segment, but it too is over-priced and won't cause any major troubles to the likes of Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla Altis.
Duster finally reviving some sales after a few months of decline because of all the offers being run by Renault. Will be seeing more lucrative offers during the upcoming festive season and should be a great time to pick up a Duster if someone has been eyeing to get one.
