The ash from cigarette can still cause damage to trailing 2 wheeler or a by-stander no matter if you drive slow or moderate dear. Take care.

Akash | Oops, I forgot to mention that I've got a make-shift ashtray (tea cup sans handle) hidden in car.
That's really nice of you to have concern for others. |

That's really nice of you to have concern for others. | I guess you can get a plastic one with a lid for some small amount.
I too had issues with my beer bottles during full night drives, but soon I left drinking beer and the issue was gone. So you can also try this idea, leave smoking once you are fed up with it.

| Re: Maruti Suzuki's New Sedan: Ciaz (Codenamed YL1) Finally saw a White Ciaz in our North Bengaluru locality today. Mistook it for City when I first saw the tail lights. The grill caught my attention later and let it pass to see it more. Maruti seems to have done a very good paint job. It appeared as if the owner believed he was was driving a two wheeler and trying to figure out how to push Ciaz thro' a 3 ft gap between a parked car and a BMTC Bus. Hilarious to watch. Wish he doesn't need a scratch to remind him that he's driving a car.
@ Moderators
Sorry, we are discussing more on others and less on Ciaz, since post # 542. This is also interesting and please bear with us all. Quote:

Wify breaks tea cup handles and I compensate the loss by smuggling them to the car . I'm smoking in the interest of Tax collection to Govt. There's revenge angle too. The longer I continue my friendship with Fag, the harder its heart will be broken when I quit smoking. Yeah. PS: Now I understand why UB Group's sales are down.

And as i can see that most of your predictions go right.Hence the query.
I have booked Zdi+, whose deliveries were supposed to start from this month on wards. Personally,i have liked the car but was looking forward for more punch in terms of 1.6 & the fact that i can not delay purchase later than Jan this year, i am a bit confused. |

| S Cross will come in both 1.3DDIS and the 1.6 Diesel. Not yet clear if they will use the Fiat or Peugeot diesel here. 1.6 for Ciaz will make it pricier than its nearest competition.
But in India for lower tax bracket ( a repeat of VW strategy) it is speculated that Suzuki will bank on Fiat for the diesel - 1.5MJD.
Isn't it too early for Maruti to give the 1.5 Diesel variant for Ciaz? They will wait for a 'midlife facelift' and that is speculated to be in 2016.
Expect Petrol turbo's from Suzuki too in 2016

Zdi+/sport still solves the sole purpose of "facelift".
City has taken over in Nov..it would probably in Dec also(let the figures come).
I have a 1.6 ready for SX cross..had i been in charge, would have given it a shot!!
yes pricing would be a question mark but with 1.6 on ..50K more that City Top, i would take it.

Ciaz's monthly figures will stabilize in the range between 3500 - 4500 in months to come. IMO, 1.6 for Ciaz will have very few takers to justify this variant!

being a market leader.i will vie for every extra market share..specially,when i have solutions in hand.

| Re: Maruti Suzuki's New Sedan: Ciaz (Codenamed YL1) With so much discussion around safety, I would prefer Maruti to focus on getting enough safety equipment, crash testing done and results shared. This is one factor that is preventing me from considering Ciaz vs other vehicles in the segment. Engine options looks fine for normal users like me who is not hard core enthusiast. I have no clue how Ciaz will perform in crash testing compared to City/Vento with 4-star ANCAP crash ratings. |

But not all India made C2 segment cars are crash tested in recent past. The City results you are talking about were not carried on Indian version, thus we cannot assume the one here is safe, as we now know how safety is compromised here by manufacturers!
If safety is your main concern, don't look beyond Vento/Rapid or Linea which are structurally well designed and are solidly built inside out. Quote:
