2014 Fiat Linea Facelift Spotted in India

The updated Fiat Linea's Indian arrival ever since it was launched in international markets last year. Now when the vehicle has been spotted doing test runs several times, it assures of finally getting to see the vehicle launching here.

The new Linea has gone through cosmetic updates both inside and out, making it look refreshed and better than before. It now gets redesigned front grille, revised bumper, new fog lamp cluster and lots of chrome at the front fascia. At the rear as well, there is tweaked bumper and the number plate is now on the boot lid. However, the side profiles remains all the same.

The Fiat Linea has received quite a few changes inside the cabin as well, which helps it look more updated and trendy. It now has a new three-layered dual-tone dash, new integrated audio system on the Centre console and newly designed AC vents. Steering wheel too has received minor cosmetic change, but design has remained as earlier. There will also be some other minor changes in the interior design to give it a more upmarket feel.

In terms of technicalities, the updated Linea will remain the same as the existing version of the car. It will continue to derive power from the existing line-up which includes a petrol, a diesel and a turbo petrol T-Jet engine. Although, there is no official confirmation on the launch date of the updated Fiat Linea, we are expecting it to happen during this festive season.

Re: New Fiat Linea Facelift Spotted Testing in India

FIAT - They need to get their fundamentals right on dealership strategy. IMO, many of the European counterparts are struggling as well (Skoda, VW etc) primarily because of their attitude towards after sales service. Hopefully at least now, FIAT realized their past mistakes in A.S.S. Else they will continue to slide, irrespective how wonderful cars they produce.

The front looks like the old Verna'ish. IMHO front of the current gen Linea looks beautiful no need to change it however, interior change is more than welcome.

When they have their subsidiary Magnetti Marelli supplying AMT why is FIAT not launching the same and take the first mover advantage in automatic diesel segment.Weird strategy. Now Maruti is laughing all the way to the bank!

Linea was one of wish list for me at time of booking Ford ES and more during the waiting period. But for its thin service network, I had chosen to stick with Ford.
