VW has launched a limited edition version of the Vento called the Style. The car simply brings extra servings of chrome to the plate, just how the Indians like it!
The front grill gets chrome and so do the rear bumper and the boot lid. The Style edition also comes with alloy wheels. After all, it won’t be that stylish with wheel covers, will it?

On the inside, the door sills get a chrome garnish with Style branding. You can also see the Style badge on the passenger side of the dashboard. The dual feel seat covers round up the limited edition features.

The VW Vento Style is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The 1.6 litre petrol engine produces 105 bhp and 153 Nm of torque. It is paired either to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.6 litre diesel engine puts out 105 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and is mated to the 5-speed manual transmission.

The Vento Style is priced at Rs. 8.33 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs. 9.41 lakhs for the diesel variant. Both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

The Vento Corporate Edition is same as Skoda Rapid Leisure Edition which had similar features but it was available only in mid-variant Ambition Plus while in Vento it is offered across all variants.

VW Vento Preferred Special Edition launched

VW has launched a special edition on the Vento called the Vento Preferred Edition. The Preferred edition sees the addition of features such as alloy wheels (the pre-facelifted Vento’s design is used here), side door protectors, chrome embellishment on the window lines, door visors, boot spoiler and a ‘Preferred’ badge on the bootlid.

On the inside, the Vento Preferred adds a reverse camera display which also doubles up as a navigation system. While VW have not announced the price for this edition, we learn that the first year insurance is free of cost and that the company is also providing free roadside assistance for 4 years.

The Preferred Edition is an attempt to boost sales of the Vento which have seen a decline since the launch of the new Honda City. Considering the six month period between September 2013 – February 2014, sales of the Vento have nearly halved from 2049 units in October (sales peak in the period) to 1191 units in February 2014.

Special editions like the Preferred edition will give some boost to sales of the sedan until the refreshed Vento is launched by the end of this year.

The Vento Preferred can be had with a petrol or a diesel engine option. Both engines displace 1.6-liters and come with a 5-speed manual transmission.
