When lancerD was launched people had very few options,The car was good it delivered a decent mileage,power and was/is a low maintenance car,and was good on indian conditions.
Its engine is good and has a good life.
Mitsubishi did good home work before launching Lancer in india, If it was any other car it would have flopped.
Please do note that only lancer and pajero clicked if it was brand then all mitsu cars would have clicked.
I still remember a voyager,it came in with a good boom and it flopped, even it could'nt stand before old sumo.
Now there are many good options for the people in india and so lancer is selling less.
Now Manza,Vista quadrajet and logan are selling better than lancer.
People now are smart,they know what to ditch and what to buy no matter which brand.
Toyoto Innova is selling good but Etios and Liva are not, if it is the brand then all toyota vehicles would have sold good.
