Toyota Innova facelift likely to be launched in India next month
Toyota is currently readying the facelift for its Innova MPV for the Indian market which was recently launched in Indonesia. The facelift includes cosmetic changes to the exterior and a few feature additions to the cabin as well.
The facia gets a new distinct chrome heavy grille, redesigned bumper and fog lamp housing which also features chrome surrounds. The rear also gets ample chrome addition around the number plate along with an extended tail lamp cluster with a broad chrome bar flanked by it.
On the inside, the car gets beige interiors with improved fabrics along with an all-new infotainment system which includes a rear display unit mounted on the roof. Steering mounted controls and captain seats in the middle also come as standard in the top spec variant. On the safety front, the car get dual airbags in the front and side impact beams embedded to the chassis. All of these additions are expected to make their way to inevitable Indian facelift as well.
The seven variants that are currently on offer are expected to continue on the facelift as well, with the G being the base model and the Z named as the top end. The Innova will continue to be powered by the 2.0-litre 132PS petrol and the 2.5-litre 101PS diesel engine along with the five speed manual gearbox and the rear-wheel drive powertrain.
When launched the new Innova will be its fourth iteration and will likely be sold at a marginally higher price tag. Up next for the MPV is a complete makeover which is expected to be unveiled globally in 2016. Until then the Innova will continue to be the most desired MPV for its innumerable buyers.
