Re: Hatchback 12 month sales data, see who dominates!

One thing is very clear that Diesel percentage in hatchback segment is way over-rated, it's actually around 33% (40,000~ cars). Common man's car still runs on Petrol! Where as Petrol sedan's and SUV's are sales dud! Those segment are today 95% diesel.

Nice compilation man.

Surprised to see Santro still doing great numbers. But no wonders in Mumbai now every other cab is Santro or Wagon R.

One more surprise is to see Indica + Vista at second spot, I always thought I20 was sold more than Indica sisters.

Re: Hatchback 12 month sales data, see who dominates!

TATA has problem in Petrol-only segment, Nano is doing fine 6729/month, but they need one more car there 50-75k upper segment, Nano based 800cc proper car with power steering and boot!

Compare this with Hyundai's 20000 sales from petrol-only cars (EON+i10+Santro) and Maruti's 35000 (Alto+WagonR)

Re: Hatchback 12 month sales data, see who dominates!

So called value for money Toyota Liva has failed to beat even Volkswagen Polo, a premium hatchback. Not acceptable! Toyota is in India's top 5 auto-brands by sales.

Petrol-only Brio @ 2100/month is not a good sign for Honda.

Re: Hatchback 12 month sales data, see who dominates!

75% Indica + Vista sales will be the Vista. There is a whopping difference between swift & vista sales. I don't know have any one noticed that when there was those shutdowns at the Manesar plant(shortage for swift) Vista sales had rose where as when there is availability for swift Vista sales declined.[;)]
