It is around 18.75lacks on road. my aria ptop end is just under 17.5lacks.
How is that?
Ex showroom prices in Mumbai:
XUV W8 AWD: 14.35 Lacs
Aria Pride 4x4: 14.77 Lacs
XUV W6 2WD: 11.74 Lacs
Aria Pleasure 4x2: 12.02 Lacs
I bought my XUV W8 2WD a year back for 15.8 Lacs on-road. How come suddenly the price increased by Rs. 3 Lacs?
'Carwale' says the on-road price of XUV5OO W8 AWD is Rs. 17.57 Lacs and Aria Pride 4x4 is Rs. 18.02 Lacs.
So, the XUV is cheaper than the Aria. Please dont factor in the discount that you got since it is simply because of the fact that the Aria is not selling well and the XUV is a decent success. Moreover, Tata slashed the prices of the Aria recently and M&M raised the prices of the XUV, still the latter is cheaper.
Coming to features, XUV W8 has more features than Aria Pride -
6 speed transmission
Static bending headlights
Colour touch screen infotainment display
Tyre pressure sensors
Hill hold control
Hill descent control
So, the XUV is indeed cheaper and has more features. Please note that I am not saying the Aria is a inferior product. This is just a reply to your previous post that "Aria does not have a competitor".
Finally, irrespective of the minor differences in the pricing, ultimately both the cars fall in the same price range. A mere 50-60k difference does not put the car in a different price range for a customer who is spending Rs. 16-18 Lacs. So ultimately, both these cars have similar pricing and hence are competitors.
