An accident happened yesterday near Munich on the B318 involving a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo. The driver sustained serious injuries and, according to TZOnline, had to be taken to hospital. Itís thought that the driver is being treated for facial injuries and a suspected spine injury after hitting an electrical box.
The accident happened when the 29-year-old driver attempted an overtake at 22.15 last night. The overtake was quickly aborted when the driver spotted a car coming from the other direction. However, the wet road surface meant that the car lost traction and ended up plowing into the electrical box and coming to rest in a field.
Europe is renowned for its narrow cobbled streets, with trams going along them as well. While this may be a pretty sight while youíre having a cappuccino, watching people, cars, trams and buses go by, it also creates some very unique situations.
Take this woman driving this old model Porsche Cayenne, in the Belgian city Antwerp. As she was getting out of the underground car park, she (probably) did not realize how close the tram line really was, and the inevitable happened. While we could just flame the woman driver for not paying attention, itís not entirely her fault, as there simply isnít enough visibility, coming out of the car park exit.
As we have previously mentioned though, when attempting a similar maneuver to the one in the video, always try to get onto the main road at an angle, so you can use your mirrors sooner, as well as getting you more direct visibility over the situation.
Luxury Car Wreck of the Day: A BMW Accidentally Launched Over a Parking Garage Wall and Crushed 2 Cars
You just hate to see luxury car-on-car violence like this. Yesterday morning in Chicago, a man was pulling his BMW SUV into a spot on the third floor of a parking garage, when he accidentally hit the gas. That sent his car FLYING through some guard wires, over a short concrete ledge, and onto the floor below. And his BMW landed on a JAGUAR and a MERCEDES. There was some damage, especially to the Jaguar, but fortunately no one was hurt. The police say the BMW driver was, "shaken."
At the moment, there arenít too many details available, but it seems that the owner of the car attempted to perform some drifting maneuvers, but lost control and hit something that damaged the supercar on the front driverís side.
As you can see in the adjacent images, the front fascia and front rim were affected. However, the damage certainly goes deeper under the car, with the bumper frame and suspension parts probably being affected. The Aventadorís complex all-wheel drive might have also been affected, so this is, in fact, one nasty crash.
You know itís a bad crash when your wheel travels farther down the road than your supercar does.
The Nurburgring-Nordschleife is one of the most fun and harrowing tracks on the planet. Open to the public, an owner of a Porsche 911 GT3 RS 3.8 recently took his ride there for last Friday's Track Days and well, it didn't turn out quite the way he would have liked.According to Bridge to Gantry, the owner was pulling through the Sprunghugel corner at over 160km/h (about 100mph) when the center-lock came loose on his back-right wheel and he crashed into the safety rail. The corner, also known as Pflanzgarten 2, is a difficult bit of road known to take some of the most experience drivers in the best of cars.

The 22-year old DeAndre Cortez Way, better known by his stage name Soulja Boy Tell ĎEm or simply Soulja Boy, has recently crashed his Bentley Continental GT while he was driving around Hollywood. Reports are saying that the rapper has even tried to run from the scene, just like Lindsay Lohan did earlier this month. We donít have any more details on his crash and we donít know if anyone was hurt, except for Soulja Boyís ego and letís not forget the luxurious vehicle.
A crew of firefighters put the Audi R8 out of its misery. Straight from Canada comes a story about an Audi R8 burning down near Ontario. The German supercar went for a Lamborghini/Ferrari style "spontaneous self-combustion."
The R8 caught ablaze on the westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway near Dufferin St. and Dunn Ave. Fire crews immediately responded to the blaze Thankfully no one was injured during the fire Monday night, though the owner's pockets will definitely be feeling lighter after the incident.
Cadillac ATS crashed in Georgia by automotive journalist.
A brand new Cadillac ATS has been recently crashed in Georgia by an automotive journalist during what should have been a test drive.
This might actually be the very first time a Cadillac ATS is being crashed on a public road and with General Motors announcing its official price list back in May for the over-seas market, the model is once again highlighted, but not in a good way. According to the guys at jalopnik.com, the Cadillac ATS has been flipped over into the woods by an automotive journalist in Georgia, United States, but happily no one was injured, which is pretty hard to believe when looking at the image.
The McLaren MP4-12C joins the club of burning supercars, with an example of the car recently catching fire in the proximity of Munich, Germany. The unfortunate event took place on Wednesday, on the junction between the A92 and the A99.
It seems that the he driver lost control of the supercar and hitting a tree. Both the driver and the passenger were injured in the accident, but thereís no evidence that these were severe.
Both the driver and the passenger had managed to escape when the emergency services arrived, but the vehicle was destroyed by the flames. The car was using dealership number plates, which leads us to believe that it was out on a test drive at the moment of the crash.
