Ferrari has confirmed that official press pictures of their most powerful supercar ever will be released on Feb 29th. Although the most powerful supercar out of the Ferrari camp is codenamed F152, experts and industry insiders reveal the supercar will be named 620 GT when it hits production.

Spyshots revealed over the previous weeks already showed that the successor to the Ferrari 599 will be heavily influenced by the styling of the Ferrari FF with infused LED headlights and a four pipe exhaust system.

Additionally, the 599 sucessor will have a 6.3 liter V12 producing 700hp and connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox routed to a rear wheel drive locking differential.

In the picture below you can see Ferrari Formula 1 team drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa testing the new Ferrari 620GT at their Ferrari's private racetrack, Fiorano Circuit.

The wait and speculations have now come to an end. On 29th February 2012 – Ferrari has revealed their fastest and most powerful supercar in production ever, named as F12 Berlinetta, which is powered with a 730 BHP 6.3 Litre V12. This supercar is set for a world debut next week at Geneva Auto Show. Excerpt from Autocar.co.uk:

The F12 Berlinetta, a name that references classic Ferrari’s including the 250 GT Berlinetta, can crack 0-62mph in just 3.1sec and 0-124mph in just 8.5sec. Its total torque output is 509lb ft, 80 per cent of which is available from 2500rpm. The normally aspirated V12 revs all the way 8700rpm.

Ferrari also claims the new car has lapped its Fiarano test track in 1m23s, which makes it the fastest Ferrari road car ever to have lapped the circuit. Its maximum speed is claimed to be “over 211mph”. The engine, which has a specific output of 116bhp/litre in the F12, is based on the same 6262cc 65 degree V12 found in the FF. But the F12 produces 80bhp and 5lb ft more than the FF, and its power and torque outputs also eclipse those of the 612bhp, 448lb ft 6.0-litre V12 found in the 599.

While the power has increased dramatically in the F12 over the 599, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have decreased at a similar rate. Fuel economy is claimed to have been improved by more than 10 per cent over the 599’s 15.8mpg combined figure to 18.8mpg, and CO2 emissions have dropped from 415g/km to 350g/km. Both these figures are with the optional stop-start system fitted.

Pricing of the F12 has yet to be revealed, but it is expected upwards of £250,000. Order books open at the Geneva show and right-hand drive examples are expected to commence in early 2013.

Ferrari f12 berlinetta

2 Words: Holly Sh*t !

My friend won a 3 day test drive and picked me up for a ride.

Although there were a couple of weird drawbacks, I can totally disprove the "never meet your childhood heros" theory.

What a legend.
Below I am attaching a link with its acceleration, later maybe I'll throw in the engine sound in a tunel.
I apologize that my hands were shaking (and still are) but its due to the enormous power of this car (740hp).

Look at the side profile, the cabin resembles the SU-30MKI fighter jet.
The neat &clean rear design and the big aerodynamic bonnet steals the show.

OMG! its the Ferrari with 700 horses. [clap]
