Suzuki Ignis Sport Small SUV-Concept Showcased at GIIAS

As 2018 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show – GIIAS, the new Maruti Ignis based Ignis Sport concept has been unveiled. Showcased by PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor, images and detailed specifications of the new Ignis Sport concept have also been revealed.

The new Ignis is already on sale in Indonesia. It is offered in two variants of GL SE MT and GL SE AT and is priced at Rp 154,500,000 (Rs 7.3 lakhs) and Rp 164,500,000 (Rs 7.8 lakh) respectively. Compared to the regular Ignis, Ignis Sport looks a lot different.

Highlights include LED projector headlamps, red skid plate, rear spoiler, black front bumper and side strip, black alloy wheels and four color schemes of Tinsel Blue Pearl, Uptown Red Pearl, Arctic White Pearl and Midnight Black Pearl.

In Indonesia, Suzuki Ignis gets its power via a 1.2 liter, 4 cylinder, K series petrol engine offering 81.8 bhp power and 113 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual or 5 speed Auto Gear Shift.

With Suzuki Ignis for Indonesia being shipped from the company plant in India, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) may also consider the launch of this model in India which would help the company to boost sales.

Suzuki does only sticker job and call the car as sport? I dont see if the GC has changed or if there is change to the engine specs.
Coming to the tiago sport, the car is going to have bump in the number of horses and the torque too on a higher side. There seems to be additional air intake thus leading to creating a intake slit in the bonnet.

For me just doing a stickerjob and calling it a suv or a sport is sheer BS. pity those who buy the sticker job for a premium.
