The interior is expected to receive some minor updates to make it more competitive with newer models such as the Mazda CX-3, Renault Captur, and Honda HR-V. Details remain elusive but the company recently gave the EcoSport additional sound deadening material, a four-inch color display and several new options.

Under the hood, engine options are expected to carryover. This means choices will likely include a 1.0-liter EcoBoost with 123 hp (92 kW), a 1.5-liter petrol with 110 hp (82 kW), and a 1.5-liter diesel with 93 hp (70 kW).

I hope they bring out Projector Style Xenon Headlamps this time. Factory H4 lamps in Ecosport are piss poor.
Any Idea what will be the changes?

Things i was expecting to be improved in the 2017 ES, but am not very much interested in now, after going through the above video. This video gives us a look at the path the ford is taking towards future update of ES -

1) Ride quality - its already very good. And for that thud sound we get at low speeds can be sorted out by installing Rogerabs suspension. Have heard of only praises for it.
2) front look - current one is a looker too, though the new one looks better, as can be seen in pics circulating all over net nowadays
3) AVN/ Sync system - go to 13:30 of this video, if this is even 5% of what they are going to offer in the updated model, i am really happy with the current one. This concept AVN looks gaudy, and that Navigation is so slow.

A mild update won't do now, Ecosport has already started looking dated and this is the high time that Ford should give a major update to the Ecosport at 4th or 5th year of the launch. EcoSport’s available premium B&O PLAY audio system brings your music to life. HARMAN acoustic engineers spent hundreds of hours perfecting the in-vehicle music experience.

The Ford-exclusive B&O PLAY audio system, standard on EcoSport Titanium, features 10 speakers, including B&O PLAY-branded tweeters and woofers in the front doors and a subwoofer in back. The 675-watt system unlocks the power of your favorite music and transforms every drive into a “living big” experience.

EcoSport also features available HD Radio technology, SiriusXM® satellite radio and a dual FM radio antenna that boosts the range and clarity of FM signals.

Customers looking to stand apart from the crowd will find plenty of ways to personalize their EcoSport. Along with 10 exterior color choices, there are seven ambient lighting options and four trim level offerings – S, SE, SES and Titanium. All series feature a swing-gate-style tailgate.

Without the mounted spare wheel, will ford still market it as an SUV? Or go a step ahead and claim it as a cross over? I am not sure how we Indians would receive ES without the spare mounted wheel. Also will we be getting the AWD version as well?

indian version will get the mounted wheel. other markets will have an option to choose. don't know about 4wd but don't think there will be much takers here.

Thats disappointing not launching the 4WD version. Ford could use this as advantage against Creta which does not have a 4WD option.

Ford Ecosport 2017 Facelift Coming In Festive Season

I was surprised to find that there was no thread for the 2017 facelift of Ford Ecosport. Request to Mods to merge this if one exists.

The facelift test mules have been spotted multiple times. New color options will also be on offer. The free standing display similar to one in upcoming Tata Nexon is also an interesting addition.
