Bugatti has unveiled the Vision Gran Turismo at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Based on the digital car created exclusively for Gran Turismo 6, the physical Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo "marks a new chapter in the luxury brand's history that will culminate in the unveiling of the new Bugatti super sports car."

Designed to preview the styling language that will be used on the highly-anticipated Veyron successor, the Bugatti VGT has a familiar design but is markedly more aggressive than the Veyron as it features a sporty front fascia with a massive splitter and slender LED headlights. Moving further back, there's ventilated front fenders, carbon fiber canards and a prominent rear wing.

Designers were also mindful of the company's past as they incorporated a center fin that recalls the 1936 Type 57 Atlantic and a classic two-tone exterior that echos the Type 57 G Tank which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1937.

While some Vision Gran Turismo concepts are pure fantasy, the Bugatti VGT is grounded in reality as the company says the "car's technical features, like its design, are realistic." In order to achieve this, designers and engineers worked hand-in-hand for six months to perfect both the car's styling and performance. As Bugatti design boss Achim Anscheidt noted "Given the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo is overstated and pushes performance to the limits, but its progressive design language will clearly show the direction that Bugatti's design will take in the coming years."

The interior wasn't left out either as it features leather / suede upholstery, matte and blue carbon fiber trim as well as two convex displays which promise to improve readability. The steering wheel display shows vehicle information, while the steering column display "combines the images from the three cameras mounted on the exterior of the vehicle to provide the driver with a better overview for an even safer driving experience."

Bugatti was coy on performance specifications but confirmed the car has a W16 engine and a four-wheel drive system. They also revealed that their calculations show the car could hit speeds in excess of 400 km/h (250 mph) on four sections of the virtual Le Mans track

BMW M6 Coupe Competition Edition

BMW has revealed the M6 Coupe Competition Edition at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The special model comes with a choice of two body colors - the Alpine White and Austin Yellow metallic paints. In Alpine White, it features decorative bodywork stripes in the trademark BMW M colors, also used on the new BMW M6 GT3 race version. Matt-black 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke 343 M styling are available for both color schemes.

The Competition Edition also adds BMW kidney grille, door handles and side gills in black chrome, as well as carbon-fiber exterior mirror caps, rear spoiler and a rear diffuser.

Inside the cabin, there are Merino full leather seats in black with contrast stitching – available in Opal White with Alpine White paintwork and in Yellow with Austin Yellow metallic paintwork. The producer has also added M6 Competition lettering in metal on the door sills and in the side gill elements. The interior gains carbon fiber gear selector and M sports steering wheel spokes, a head-up display, a Harman Kardon system or Bang & Olufsen system with 16 speakers and output of 1,200 watts.

The Competition Edition is available exclusively for the BMW M6 Coupe and comes with the Competition Package. This means the 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine of the car has a total output of 600 PS (441 kW) and maximum torque of 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). When fitted with the optional M Driver's Package, the top speed of the vehicle reaches 305 km/h (190 mph).

Porsche Mission E concept electrifies IAA

Porsche is taking the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show by storm with its very intriguing Mission E concept.
In these past few months, there have been many rumors about Porsche's plans to roll out a Tesla Model S competitor before the end of the decade and now there are more reasons to believe it will happen as the Mission E concept takes the shape of an all-electric vehicle with a maximum range of more than 500 km (310 miles).
It looks like a Panamera from 2025 and adopts an all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering system, with power coming from two electric motors providing a combined output in excess of 600 PS (440 kW) which is enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 3.5 seconds, 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in less than 12 seconds and a 'Ring time of less than 8 minutes
It employs an 800-volt drive system as well as a new Porsche Turbo Charging system that can recharge the battery pack up to an 80% level in approximately 15 minutes, thus giving enough energy juice for about 400 km (248 miles). Filling up the battery is done either through the 400-volt charging station or via inductive charging without the need of any cables.
As for the interior, it adopts four individual slim and lightweight seats and since it's an EV, it doesn't have a transmission tunnel, so this has freed up some space inside. There aren't any physical buttons and knobs since these have been replaced by several OLED screens and there's also an eye-tracking system that works with a camera to detect which instrument the driver is viewing. In addition, Porsche has fitted a holographic display that extends into the passenger's side and shows individually selectable and controllable apps like media, climate control, navigation, contacts and others.
Porsche doesn't say anything about the possibility of a production model, but it's highly unlikely the concept's "entirely new" powertrain won't find its way into a production car in the years to come, with the Panamera or possibly the smaller Pajun (Panamera Junior) being the most obvious candidates given the concept's shape.

Mercedes and MV Agusta are celebrating their partnership by unveiling a one-off F3 800 motorcycle at Frankfurt.
Billed as the "epitome of performance and passion," the bike draws inspiration from the Mercedes-AMG GT S and features an AMG solarbeam yellow exterior with black accents and AMG / MV Agusta badging. The F3 800 also has a black leather seat with yellow contrast stitching.
While the bike isn't as powerful as the AMG GT S, it's certainly no slouch as it features a 798 cc three-cylinder engine that produces 148 PS (108 kW) and 88 Nm (65 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the F3 800 to hit a top speed of 269 km/h (167.1 mph).

The Frankfurt Motor Show is winding down but that hasn't stopped Audi from unveiling the new A8 Plus.

Designed to redefine the "pinnacle of sporty performance," the model features an upgraded twin-turbo 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine that has been tuned to produce 605 PS (445 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque - 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) with overboost. This enables the luxurious sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of up to 305 km/h (189.5 mph).
Besides the upgraded engine, the model features a retuned adaptive air suspension, a modified dynamic steering system and carbon ceramic brakes with anthracite-gray calipers embossed with the Audi logo. Other highlights include a carbon fiber intake surrounds, a sports exhaust system and special 21-inch alloy wheels.
The interior receives additional standard equipment as well as comfort sport seats, brushed aluminum trim and piano accents. There's also stainless steel pedals and Arras red contrast stitching and piping.
The S8 Plus will go on sale in Germany in November and pricing starts at 145,200 euros.

Mansory displayed at IAA in Frankfurt this Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe Black Edition.
It used to be an elegant large coupe but now it looks like it's ready for the zombie apocalypse as Mansory has decided to apply a sinister all-black treatment along with a comprehensive carbon fiber body kit. They also replaced the stock wheels with a black 22-inch set while at the back it now has a prominent fixed wing also manufactured from carbon fiber.
The custom look is matched with a massive power upgrade for the twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter engine which can now deliver no less than 1,000 PS (735 kW) and a whopping 1,400 Nm (1,034 lb-ft) which is actually electronically limited so who knows how much torque the unrestricted engine generates.
While the standard S63 AMG 4MATIC runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.9 seconds, this one is 0.7s quicker and tops out at an electronically-governed 186 mph (300 km/h) in comparison to the stock version which is capped at 155 mph (250 km/h).

The 488 Spider was Ferrari's star attraction at the Frankfurt Motor Show but they also used the event to introduce two Tailor Made California Ts.
The first model features a Piano Black exterior with a matte Grigio Ferro Met grille which is surrounded by red and white accents. The tri-color design continues in the cabin as there's a black dashboard and red leather seats with white piping.

Porsche has released four new videos of the Mission E concept. The all-electric four-door AWD sedan from the future is back in a series of clips that show off the radical exterior design along with the high-tech interior cabin. It's just a concept at the moment, but the fully electric powertrain developed from the ground up will surely end up in some form.
The numbers of this concept are simply astonishing: 600+ PS power, 0-100 km/h in 3.5s, 0-200 km/h in less than 12s, sub 8-minute 'Ring time and a 500+ km range, with 400 km available after only 15 minutes of charging.
