Francois Michelin, owner of the Michelin died at the age of 88. He had devoted his life in take the brand to new heights and was involved with it for 47 years before passing it on to his son Edouard.

Francois Michelin, who led France's famed tyre company for nearly half a century, died at the age of 88, the group said on Wednesday.
