Buddies,

Luxury Car Brand Rolls Royce has confirmed the plans for making a SUV which can go on any type of roads and terrains effortlessly. Though the launch timeline is still not confirmed.

The launch of Phantom in 2003 marked the beginning of the renaissance of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Since then, we have set a new benchmark for what a super-luxury car should be – unique, hand-crafted, beautiful and rare. Often imitated, Phantom has never been equaled and continues to be hailed as ‘The Best Car in the World’ by our customers and media alike.

Twelve years later, after the introduction of successful new models like Ghost and Wraith, Rolls-Royce stands proudly at the pinnacle of British luxury manufacturing, confirming our custodianship of this precious marque.

Now we have reached another seminal moment in Rolls-Royce’s 111-year journey.

Today we confirm that we are developing an all-new Rolls-Royce with exceptional presence, elegance and purpose:

• A car that offers the luxury of a Rolls-Royce in a vehicle that can cross any terrain.

• A car that meets our customers’ highly mobile, contemporary lifestyle expectations.

• A Rolls-Royce that is as much about the pioneering, adventurous spirit of Charles Rolls as it is about Sir Henry Royce’s dedication to engineering and innovation.

• A car that appropriately reflects Rolls-Royce’s brand promise of effortless luxury.

• A high-bodied car, with an all-new aluminium architecture.

• A unique new motor car worthy of carrying the Spirit of Ecstasy into the future.

This new Rolls-Royce will be Effortless .... Everywhere.

Many of our discerning customers have urged us to develop this new car – and we have listened. At Rolls-Royce Motor Cars we are uniquely focused on the desires of our customers and are driven by our own thirst to innovate. So we challenged our engineers and design team, led by Director of Design Giles Taylor, to create a different and exceptional new car.

This car will embody all the values and capabilities that drove our two Founding Fathers to secure Rolls-Royce’s reputation, early last century, by taking top honours in rigorous overland adventures such as the Scottish Reliability Trials, the London to Edinburgh event and the Alpine Trials.

Rolls-Royces conveyed pioneers and adventurers like Lawrence of Arabia across the vastness of unexplored deserts and over mountain ranges. In other parts of the world including Australia, India and the Americas, Rolls-Royces carried their owners over challenging terrain with absolute reliability and comfort.

History sets our precedent and our future calls us to action.

This new journey begins now. We will take our time in developing and perfecting this new concept in luxury. We will include our customers, enthusiasts and media along the way and will keep you informed of our progress.

Until then, rest assured, we are creating a motor car in the greatest traditions of our marque.

Sir Henry Royce famously said: “When it does not exist, design it”.

We are doing just that.
Regards

Akash

Re: Rolls-Royce 4x4 SUV Project Codenamed Cullinan

There goes the purity of the brand!
There was a joke(authors column) in one of the first Top gear Indian magazines about an Indian customer walking into a RR showroom & asking if a diesel version was available ,as the sales rep faints the Spirit of Ecstasy retracts & comes out with a can of pepper spray.

Well now a Rolls Royce SUV & let me guess a diesel should come out later.

This is akin to Porsche when the Cayenne was launched which purists dint like as a 4 door & SUV in one shot. And later a diesel enters the stable.

So this Rolls Royce should soon see a diesel 6 cylinder from BMW in the offering .

Guess they want to grab people who upgrade from Range Rover in the name of status.

The Black car in the Photos is looking like Regular RR sedan with suspension lift and an out of place spoiler. Ugly and stupid if you ask me.

The silver car with LED DRLs is looking much more better and mature. But its an Estate more than an SUV.

Hi,

I literally have to close my eyes and say, "It's supposed to be an SUV, it's supposed to be an SUV so see it as an SUV." There's nothing even remotely close to the word SUV here! Too boxy in the front and to be honest, that rear three-quarter view looks like an estate costing about 30-grand[roll].

This car is expected in 2018,but since Bentley has launched the Bentayga dont be surprised if BMW i mean Rolls Royce hurry up the production. The rich always want something new.

Below is a camouflaged pic & a pretty neat rendering(although front should have flatter grill according to camo pic)

Rolls-Royce Cullinan India launch in November 2018

Rolls Royce will launch its first-ever SUV, the Cullinan, in India in late November 2018. India deliveries will commence in 2019, along with other markets in Asia.

There is no official word on pricing yet but Autocar India has learnt Cullinan prices will start at Rs 8.75 crore (ex-showroom), although optional extras can easily add Rs 1 crore or more to the price. Certain features, offered as options abroad, will be offered on India-spec cars as standard – including a rear-seat entertainment system.

The Cullinan is powered by a 6.75-litre, twin-turbocharged V12, which produces 571hp and 850Nm of torque. Aside from being the marque’s first SUV, the Cullinan is also the first all-wheel-drive offering from Rolls-Royce. Also part of the package is trick self-levelling air suspension, which Rolls-Royce claims will help provide the famed 'Magic Carpet' ride quality across any terrain.

Inside, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is near-identical to the Phantom. It gets a smaller steering wheel with a thicker rim, an all-digital instrument console, the trademark analogue clock on the dash, a touchscreen infotainment system – a first for Rolls-Royce – and the rotary Spirit of Ecstasy controller on the centre console. Buyers will also have a comprehensive menu of hides and colours to choose from.

SUV-shape aside, the Cullinan’s presence and ground clearance are what could make it a hit amongst Rolls-Royce models in India. It has the makings of being the luxury carmaker’s best-seller in this market, just as the Urus is on the course to becoming one for Lamborghini.
