Mahindra owned SsangYong Tivoli showcased its all new compact SUV,Tivoli. The Tivoli is powered by 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. It will launch internationally in june.Tivoli was earlier known as the X100 in Seoul, South Korea. The latest SsangYong will debut with an all-new 124bhp, 1.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, or an optional six-speed automatic. For the European market, an all-new 1.6-litre diesel, which will also be making its debut, is likely to be the more popular option.

It's unlikely that the Tivoli will be launched in the Indian market, however, Mahindra is readying a 1.5-litre version of this diesel engine for its own vehicles.

Re: SsangYong has taken the wraps off its new compact SUV:TIVOLI

Full details of new crossover revealed.

Seems to me a cross between the Swift and XUV.

Ssangyong Tivoli measures 4195mm long, 1795mm wide, 1590mm tall and rides on a 2600mm wheelbase, with a boot space of 423-litre boot is closer. The rear bench can also be folded flat to create extra cargo carrying space.

Ssangyong has confirmed the Tivoli will be available with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 93kW of power at 6000rpm and 157Nm of torque at 4600rpm.

The engine can be teamed with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions that send drive to the front wheels and deliver combined cycle fuel consumption of 8.3 and 8.1 litres per 100 kilometres respectively.

A 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine will become available later in 2015 along with an all-wheel-drive option - India plans will be based on this!
LED daytime running lights, 16- to 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, auto headlights and wipers, smart key entry, dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, and a 7.0-inch infotainment display make for an impressive equipment list, while seven airbags (dual front, side, curtains, and driver’s knee) and electronic stability control headline the Tivoli’s standard safety package.

This car was launched yesterday in nepal , weird. Cars are always launched first in ndia and then launches in nepal.

It was launched at 33 lakhs inr. And creta too was launched with base variant at 24 lakhs ( here it's 8.6 lakhs) so roughly cars in nepal are 3 times the cost in india.

So a petrol suv with all those features at 10-12 lakhs in india ? Perfect competitor for the creta.

But this is the petrol version. So i guess wouldn't have done any damage to the xuv.

There are very less petrol variants of compact suvs. Anyways wouldn't buy one. Have read the rexton faces parts shortage.
