GulfRun 6th Car Show (Carshow-6), a display of high speed cars held at 360Mall, Kuwait from January 7th to 10th. The display is part of GULFRUN-X, to be held at Bahrain International Circuit on January 22 to 23, 2015.

Quote from the Daily News Paper, Kuwait Times: KUWAIT: The organizers of the successful GulfRun car show spoke to Kuwait Times about the event, along with one of the racers who spoke about his participation this year. Co founder Marzouq Al-Ghanem said GulfRun is a unique event. “It’s for car enthusiasts who are excited about enjoying their cars in various ways - those who want to race, test their cars or test the road capability - and it has turned out to be what it is today. I have been doing this for 10 years, and it became bigger than we ever thought - the longest running car show in Kuwait with the participation of private and dealership vehicles. We keep everyone involved,” he said. “GulfRun is not just a race -we have other activities too. The participants are of various ages - the oldest participant in GulfRun is 67-year-old Zeinalabdeen Al-Rifai, who used to be Kuwait’s No. 1 drag racer in the 1990s. He is a legend in Kuwait, while the youngest participant is 19 years old, and we made sure that he knows what he is getting into. We also have karting, which is an endurance race, and the guys made huge efforts to make it successful. We also had an all-girl team for the first time, as earlier sometimes we had mixed teams. In total, we had 18 teams with 12 members each. It was held in December for the fourth time, and has expanded greatly,” added Ghanem.

“We got a lot of support from the Ministry of Interior by both manpower and licenses. Also, the companies were very supportive, especially the main sponsor Zain, in addition to other companies such as Hydrotech, Protech, Algida and Seven Friday, which produced only 50 pieces of a limited-edition watch for GulfRun drivers.

The most progressive Sports Car

The BMW i8 can go from 0–100 km/h (0 to 60 mph) in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h (160 mph). The BMW i8 has a fuel efficiency of 2.1 L/100 km (134.5 mpg-imp; 112.0 mpg-US) under the NEDC test with carbon emissions of 49 g/km. 6. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The fastest, most powerful car Chevrolet has ever produced, the Corvette ZR1 is powered by the LS9 engine: a 638-horsepower supercharged V8 with titanium connecting rods and intake valves. The ZR1 boasts a test track top speed of 205 mph, and goes from 0-60 in only 3.4 seconds. Even with all that power on tap, it maintains a fuel efficiency of 21 MPG highway.
