With VW's upcoming Mini Crossover Taigun coming soon can Skoda be left behind?
Reports have come in that Skoda is planning a Crossover based on Taigun and will debut in 2017. The entry level CUV from Skoda will sit below the Yeti and will only be available onlywith a front-wheel drive layout.
It will fit in the B segment of crossovers and will have to compete among others with the Fiat 500X, Renault Captur, Nissan Juke and the Jeep Renegade.

More details firm up on the Crossover.There will be no significant off-road ability to go with the looks, as the car’s expected to be offered in front-wheel drive only.

Fabia based Crossover will debut in 2017 . The CUV will use a shortened version of the MQB modular architecture – with all the technical benefits and economies of scale that brings.

The choice of engines could be of 1.2 TSI or 1.4 and 1.6 TDI units.

With speculation of tne New Fabia coming to India, this CUV could be India bound too.
