Ariel, the British performance-vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled its latest model, the Nomad-a pure off-roader.Nomad will make its public debut at the Autosport International show in January, 2015.The Nomad has a front-wheel-drive set-up and humongous tyres to handle off-roading. It also comes with a reinforced chassis, long-travel suspension and a rollover protection mechanism.
Nomad is powered by a Honda-sourced 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which is capable of delivering around 200bhp. It will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox also from Honda. The Ariel Nomad weighs in at around 700kg, and also gets a mechanical limited slip differential.With 200bhp/0.7ton power to weight ratio,Nomad will dominate among most of the off-roading machines.
Prices will start around £30,000
