The Aslan (meaning "lion" in Turkish) is powered by two versions of Hyundai's GDi direct-injection V6es. The base version gets a 3.0L generating 270hp and 229 lb-ft of torque, while an optional 3.5L produces 270hp and 255 lb-ft. The sole transmission option, a 6-speed automatic, sends power to the front wheel.Hyundai already said it has plans to introduce a diesel engine version of the Aslan that may get the 2.2L mill.
Hyundai used double glasses on the windshield and the side windows to prevent unwanted outside noise from seeping in. The interior draws inspiration from the Genesis sedan and is equipped with leather seats, wooden trim on the dashboard and the door panels and electronic systems such as the adaptive smart cruise control, the forward collision warning system, the lane departure warning system and the blind-spot detection system. The standard equipment also includes 18-inch alloy wheels, 9 airbags, an adaptive suspension, ABS
, ESP, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an electronic climate control and many more.
