The engine range could be shared with the A1, which includes the 1.4-litre TFSI and TDI units (both producing 90 hp and mated to a 7-speed DSG), a hybrid version with a 110 hp 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 109 hp electric motor, and a 2-litre 231 hp TFSI petrol engine for a go-faster SQ1.
