Ferrari FXX K Officially Revealed

Ferrari has officially unveiled the FXX K ahead of its debut during the Finali Mondiali event in Abu Dhabi.
Formerly known as the LaFerrari XX, the car is based on the LaFerrari, the company’s first hybrid machine, and will be launched next year. The K in its moniker is a reference to the KERS kinetic energy recovery system it adopts. The FXX K will never be used in competition and has been developed to be “completely uncompromising, incorporating technological innovations”. It will be offered to an exclusive group of clients with whom the company will roll out a test program over the coming two years.
As rumored before, the FXX K unleashes a maximum output of 1050 PS (772 kW) thanks to an 860 PS (633 kW) V12 engine and a 190 PS (140 kW) electric motor. The maximum torque is more than 900 Nm (664 lb-ft).

The Ferrari FXX K has made its track debut in Abu Dhabi on the Yas Marina track during the 2014 Finali Mondiali event. The FXX K did a demonstration run this past weekend in Abu Dhbai where the crowd gathered at Yas Marina had the opportunity to hear the brutal sound provided by the V12 naturally aspirated engine which pumps out 860 HP (633 kW).
Ferrari says they will produce less than 40 cars and all of them have already been pre-sold to buyers who were willing to pay the hefty €2.5 million price tag. It is believed the FXX K is five seconds faster than the LaFerrari around the company's Fiorano circuit which means it will do a lap in only 1:14. This was possible not only through a power boost, but also by losing 90 kg (198 lbs) and getting a more aerodynamic body allowing the FXX K to generate 540 kg (1,190 lbs) of downforce at 124 mph (200 km/h).
