Mercedes is planning to bring the famous name Maybach back into the business; new details are starting to emerge about the S-Class Maybach, ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Set to slot above the S600, the S-Class Maybach will feature a familiar design but will be approximately 10 inches longer than the long-wheelbase model. The extra room will be devoted to rear seat passengers and the extra length will be easily noticed thanks to longer rear doors and a revised C-pillar.

The styling changes will continue in the cabin as Autoweek is reporting the car will feature exclusive technology, reclining rear seats and "enhanced infotainment features for rear seat passengers." We can also expect a greater range of trim and upholstery choices to appeal to discerning customers.
Power will be provided by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 530 PS (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque. There could also be a high-performance variant which uses the S65 AMG's twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 630 PS (463 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque.

The entry-level model is expected to cost approximately $200,000 and it could eventually be joined by an armored version that offers VR9-level ballistic protection.

Re: All New Mercedes Benz S-Class (2014) Maybach Launched

Mercedes Benz has resurrected the Maybach name by introducing a range-topping edition of the S-Class which has grown in size by 200mm to 5435mm, with all of the added length going into the wheelbase that now measures 3365mm. Subtle modifications are made to the exterior which can be noticed from the front grille along with “Maybach” badging & lettering as well as 66mm shorter rear doors to make room for the third side window which has been relocated into the C pillar.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class promises to be the “quietest car in the world” thanks to special seals optimizing the noise insulation along with the installation of additional sound deadening material.
At first it will be sold in the S600 variant with a twin-turbo V12 6.0-liter developing 530 HP (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft). There’s also going to be an S500 with a bi-turbo V8 4.7-liter engine developing 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Eventually, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will get an S400 4MATIC variant with a V6 3.0-liter motor with 333 HP (245 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) sent to an all-wheel drive system.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is scheduled to go on sale in February 2015.

Mercedes-Benz Maybach S Class Pullman is scheduled to be introduced in 2015 Geneva Motor show. Pullman will be even more luxurious and longer than the recently introduced Mercedes-Maybach and will be offered in an S600 variant. While the Maybach is 5453mm long, the Pullman is expected to have an overall length of 6400 meters and will probably be built by Brabus. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman will be powered exclusively by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 530 HP (390 kW) and a peak torque of 830 Nm (612 lb-ft). It should be mentioned that S-Class development director Dr Hermann-Joseph Storp has already said there won't be any AMG versions of the Maybach-branded models.
There will also be an armored Pullman version in 2016 which will have an estimated curb weight of 11,684 lbs (5,300 kg) and a hefty $1 million price tag.
