Skoda's products are extremely well-made but in India are let down by poor aftersales service. Anyway as the Laura is quite solid the owner has mounted another engine in the centre of the vehicle to power the rear wheels in addition to the stock engine which powers the front wheels.
Both engines are tuned versions of the well known 2.0L TFSi engines. They work independently and have their own cooling system air intake and clutch. And the results are mind-boggling! The power on tap is a mighty 800BHP (330bhp to the rear wheels and 460bhp to the front wheels). 0-62 takes just 2.5seconds.
