New Volkswagen Golf R – The Fastest Golf Ever

Volkswagen has raised curtains from the exhilarating Golf R which is the fastest Golf hatchback ever with a record of 0 – 100 Kmph in mere 5.1 seconds or even better with DSG transmission at 4.9 seconds. However, the top speed is restricted to 250 Kmph. Powering under the hood is 4 cylinder, 2.0 liter turbocharged unit producing 300 BHP @ 5,500 – 6,200 RPM. The torque figure is 380 NM @ 1,800 RPM – 5,500 RPM. Here’s a list of key aspects from the official press release:
